A corporation does not need the success of any nation.
As nations fail, the corporations win more freedoms and can literally buy more of the world.
I am part of the 99%. Everyone I know is.
As one of the lucky ones who still has a job and other job prospects it is hard for me to support the OccupyX movement started on wall street with my physical presence. I still want to keep my job.
I know I am not the only one, I talk to people every day who want to do something, who want to support the cause but don't know what they can do.
In an attempt to show solidarity with the movement I haven't shaved since Sept 17th. I know it's a little thing, but it's something. Maybe more people will begin to act where they can and how they can. Maybe more people will hear about things like this or meet people like us and will get themselves informed. I ask you to join me in this, a movement around the movement, a way to participate at home while preparing for bigger and better action.
(I will be doing some beard maintenance to keep me from looking totally insane, I am still applying for jobs and working odd 3rd and 4th jobs that I might have to manage my appearance a bit for.)
If someone could come up with a mirror action for those of us who can't grow beards, I'd love to hear about it.
